Hello! I'm Rebecca Brown a graduate product designer. I’ve a keen interest in working toward making neurodivergent inclusive designs as well as LGBTQ+ considerations. Being a pansexual dyslexic myself gives me personal insight to this, as well as the many people I’ve worked with in recent projects.
All in all, I’m a designer who loves to design for People from all walks of life. Additionally, to this design challenges such as sustainability, marketability and interactive designs are where I thrive and continue to work on developing in. I’m keen to join a design team and any projects relating to this! So feel free to contact me via email or social media anytime.
Education
2020-2024
BDes (Hons) Product Design
Edinburgh Napier University
Graduating in 2024, partipating in New Designers 2024 London as a part of my final project FOOTER. Which was one of over 3,000 graduates, where I got to talk to all sorts of people, Getting a mention from New designers as well as the Bexley Grammer School.
‘WHAT’S TRENDING AT NEW DESIGNERS 2024? … Product Design graduate Rebecca Brown from Edinburgh Napier University has created Footer, a sensory kit for neurodivergent people which helps to reduce anxiety and stress.’
‘We also came across a design called Footer by Rebecca Brown …. allowing those with anxiety or stress to have something to fiddle with on the go, and really inspired us as another theme some people chose for our NEA was “Educational toys and games”.’
This course furthered my excitment for design, developemed my skills and my understanding of the importance of good design. As well as encouraged me to explore making Footer a reality.
